Congratulations to BE∆K∆, Winner of the Bloc & Cosmin TRG Remix Competition

From a pool of 70 impressive entries, BE∆K∆ has emerged as the grand prize winner in the Bloc & Cosmin TRG Remix Competition - with prizes from Ableton, Bloc, Loopmasters, Novation, and live-courses.com. Here’s what Cosmin TRG had to say about BE∆K∆’s winning entry, “Writersbloc (BE∆K∆ remix)”:

"It was really painful to cut this down to 3 names, let alone choose a winner. But it had to be done, so BE∆K∆ takes the trophy home here: one of the most creative submissions, it immediately stood out on a first listen. A broken piece of drum wizardry, it still retains a 4/4 pulse and is wonderfully produced."

Andrey Potyomkin and Giulio Etiope are the runners up - here are Cosmin's thoughts on their submissions:

"Andrey's interpretation pays so much attention to detail. All layers work well with each other and keep unfolding, and manage to sound crisp as well. Giulio's remix is a relentless chunk of Techno, adds a nice little melody to keep the rawness of the beats in check, and plays on those high-hat rolls that I'm a big fan of."

"I was overwhelmed with the quality of the submissions - most of them showed such a level of passion and dedication that judging the entries proved a very difficult process. I guess beyond expert arrangements, creative use of samples or pristine sound, the judges were looking for that elusive 'something' that makes a track stand out. Or at least, that's what I'm always looking for when I'm out there hunting tunes. Many thanks everyone who turned in their submission, great stuff all around. Good luck with your music!"
